Former President Donald Trump claimed Sunday that his approval ratings among Republican voters have reached historic highs, despite renewed controversy surrounding disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Taking to Truth Social, Trump asserted that his popularity within the GOP and the MAGA movement has surged in recent days, describing the Epstein allegations as part of a politically motivated smear campaign.
“My poll numbers within the Republican Party, and MAGA, have gone up significantly since the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax was exposed by the Radical Left Democrats and troublemakers,” Trump wrote. “They have hit 90%, 92%, 93%, and 95% in various polls, and are all Republican Party records. The General Election numbers are my highest, EVER! People like Strong Borders, and all of the many other things I have done. GOD BLESS AMERICA. MAGA!”
While Trump did not specify which polls he was referring to, recent surveys appear to support an uptick in support among Republican voters. A CNN poll released last week showed him with 88% approval within the GOP, while a Quinnipiac University poll placed him at 90%. Both reflect modest gains from previous results—86% in a prior CNN poll and 87% in an earlier Quinnipiac survey.
The former president’s remarks come as questions around his past associations with Epstein resurface, though Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing or close ties to the convicted sex offender.
