“The historic 50 years of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia are now transforming into deeper economic cooperation. Remittances remain a driving force of Bangladesh’s economy. With nearly 75,000 Bangladeshi expatriates in Saudi Arabia now converted to Investor Visas, a massive opportunity for future investment has been created. This will open new horizons in Bangladesh’s industrial, real estate, technology, and SME sectors with Saudi participation.”
He further announced that the Made in Bangladesh Expo™ – Saudi Edition 2025 will be held at the Radisson Blu, Jeddah from December 11–13, 2025. The international trade fair will serve as a powerful platform for diaspora Bangladeshis to explore investment, trade, and business opportunities.
Speakers at the event emphasized the vital role of expatriates in contributing to Bangladesh’s economy and called for more structured opportunities to channel remittances into sustainable investment.
The gathering was warmly welcomed by Bangladeshi expatriates, who described it as a timely and fruitful initiative to strengthen both community unity and economic growth.
