During remarks made in Scotland, former U.S. President Donald Trump ignited fresh controversy by stating that Israel should determine the next steps in Gaza. “Bibi, you decide now,” Trump said, addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly.
Trump highlighted that the United States has provided $60 million in food aid to Palestinians, claiming that other countries—particularly in Europe—have contributed little or nothing. He voiced frustration over the lack of recognition for the American assistance: “It would be nice to get a thank you.”
The former president also appeared to cast doubt on how aid is being distributed, suggesting that Hamas may be diverting supplies, though he offered no specific evidence.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Netanyahu has denied that Israel is responsible for the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The comments come amid growing international scrutiny over the conflict and how aid is reaching civilians in the region.
